The box design is still the usual purple Raisin Bran color scheme with the sun mascot that is synonymous with the cereal. O ther varieties of this cereal have also been released since the original including Raisin Bran Vanilla Almond, R aisin Bran with Bananas, and Raisin Bran with Cranberries. The original version of Raisin Bran was first released to the public by Kellogg’s in 1926, and this Crunch version was released much later, in 1999. The small addition of crunchy oat clusters mixed in with the usual raisins and bran flakes adds so much to your breakfast! The classic cereal sweetness and complexity is enhanced and improved and leaves me opting for this over the original. It seems unlikely that such a small change can make all the difference, but trust me, this does.

Everything that was fantastic about the original cereal, but even better. It can be difficult to improve on an already fantastic product but leave it to Kellogg’s to do exactly that with this version of Raisin Bran, Raisin Bran Crunch. It’s sweet, satisfying, and provides a nice start to the morning. Īs life progresses your tastes will change and mature, and one day, you’ll wake up, pour yourself a bowl of Raisin Bran, just so you won’t have to look at the box anymore, and realize that it’s a super delicious cereal. While it may not be a childhood favorite, it’s a delicious cereal that is an acquired taste. Consisting of both raisins and whole grain bran flakes, there’s not many cereals that scream “old person” as much as Kellogg’s Raisin Bran. Straight from Grandma’s cupboard, Raisin Bran is usually not a very popular cereal among the kiddos.
